The public website does not use routine access logging. If a technical or security error occurs, the server may record limited diagnostic details such as an IP address, requested address, time and browser information.

These limited error details are used only to keep the website secure, available and working correctly. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in protecting and maintaining the website.

Luckless Games server logs are rotated daily and retained for no more than 14 rotations. They are reviewed only when necessary and are not used to profile visitors.

When you email the studio

If you email Luckless Games, the studio processes your email address, name, message and any attachments or other information you choose to include.

This information is used to answer your enquiry, discuss a possible publishing or business relationship, and take requested steps before entering an agreement. Depending on the enquiry, the legal basis is legitimate interests or steps requested before entering a contract.

Correspondence is kept only while it is needed for the enquiry, relationship, legal obligation or possible dispute. Closed enquiries that no longer have a business or legal purpose should normally be deleted within 24 months of the last contact.

Service providers and transfers

The website is self-hosted on a server in the Netherlands. Incoming email for info@lucklessgames.com is routed through Porkbun and delivered to Proton Mail. These providers may process the addressing and message data needed to provide their services. Luckless Games does not sell personal data.

Porkbun is based in the United States and Proton is based in Switzerland. Email routing can therefore involve processing outside the European Economic Area. Switzerland is covered by an EU adequacy decision. The safeguards for US routing depend on Porkbun’s current service terms, so Luckless Games keeps this arrangement under review.

Cookies and tracking

The current public website does not set cookies, use browser storage, run analytics or advertising, or load third-party fonts and tracking services. A cookie-consent banner is therefore not used.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct or erase your personal data, restrict its use, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can also withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis. Send a request to the privacy contact address below. You will normally receive a response within one month.
